Maths, physical world an philosophy

While zero and infinite belong to mathematical equations, I'm not sure about the physical world. Can there be "zero" and something (which is already no more zero) and the infinite in time and space while things change ?

I'm reading a philosophy magazine (Is the universe meant for man?).

Astrophysics, since Galileo and Copernicus, have relegated man to the backroom...But the last 30 years, the anthropic principle seemed to put man back at the center, within modern cosmology. Luckily, the weak version (if we can observe the heavens, it's because we are part of it...and not the universe that started and did everything possible for mankind to appear) is more rational.
