But the summer reading program is over, except for the final report, and I am on VACATION!!!

The 16-year-old is laughing at me. From far, far away. She says that she doesn't know anyone else who would take a laptop to the mountains and stay all alone in a house with no cable TV to work on vacation. Actually, what she wanted was for me to leave my laptop at home with her. Fat chance.

Also, this means if she wants to go shopping this week, her father will take her. Clothes shopping with Daddy is a trip to hell for everyone involved. She'll wait.
