I don't really know which would be best. But the idea is out there. Clearly inflatable designs allow us to scrap the concrete towers and reach ever higher altitude winds. The tethered concept also makes offshore wind farms easier, although underwater anchoring and electrical cable will always be more expensive than on land. But no tower is required offshore. Deep ocean locations can be utilized.
