and it's biased as all hell. Journalists have the right to be biased although I personally feel that it's bad journalism. I was a reporter in my early adulthood, a profession of which I was proud to be part. I can pretty certainly damn well say that I kept my feelings to myself in my news stories. I reported facts. Period. When I wanted to depart from that, I wrote letters to the editor. I wrote a humdinger once ripped the editorial writer for my employer a new one for a comment he made about Reagan during the campaign. He made a snide remark about the "waving wattles of his neck" and said that Reagan was too old to be President. I reminded the editorial writer in my letter that he was older than Reagan and that choosing a candidate based on physical appearance was beneath contempt. And I didn't even LIKE Reagan. But I was gonna be damned if I'd let some asshole get away with crap like that!
Unfortunately, journalism has departed from the lofty ideals of my youth. And I mourn it.
But that guy is still a journalist. If he's paid for his reports by a news agency, he's a journalist. He may or may not be a crappy one but he's still a journalist.
