Journalist vs. blogger
Per the dictionary, a journalist is:
1. a person who practices the occupation or profession of journalism.
2. a person who keeps a journal, diary, or other record of daily events.
So I suppose per definition # 2, a blogger could be considered a journalist. But he/she is NOT a PROFESSIONAL journalist.
Definition # 2 has freedom of speech (at least until Bush gets fed up with anti-Bush blogs!) but IMO cannot hide behind Freedom of the Press. Note the IMO; however, I would be extremely surprised if the courts disagreed with me.
