You turn the thread into about you and how I must be a McCarthy-ite and a fool if I don’t believe what you do.
First of all I am not an admire of McCarthy and don’t even consider myself a full fledge conservative nor am I a Christian.
Second, I don’t agree with everything Bush has done and certainly don’t like everything the republicans have done. But there are a lot of thing I like, cutting taxes and the war on terror for two.
Thirdly, I don’t tell me how to feel, I certainly don’t tell you, nor do I slam your believes, but only was inquiring as to your claim. I was hoping we could have a discussion without ones character or belief becoming the target.
I know where Victor Gold is coming from and I happen to agree with him. The Republican Party is/has changed and not for the better as far as I am concerned. But I do recognize that the Democratic Party is also changing and a lot of democrats are fed up with the far left groups trying to influence the party by the likes of Code Pink, Cindy Shehan and Move On. So don’t try and claim the superior high ground just because some republicans have changed their ways and someone from the party is writing about it, the whole political field of the country is changing, not to mention the world.
Now you claim that millions of people disapprove with Bush, but look how the people view the democrat led senate and house. If 10 million disapprove with Bush then 20 million disapprove with the democrat leadership as the approval ratings are half of Bush and they have just begun to piss people off.
Another thing you must have missed is I said I’m sure Bush has lied about a few things a lot of presidents do but that site you referred to is as radical left as you can get and not being reasonable with their claims as I described in my last post. Kelley is certainly not my idea of a partisan investigative reporter, just look at his named web site. If he is fans of yours well then fine, but don’t expect me to take him seriously.
I was hoping we could stick to the issue and I not have to defend my persona. I believe this is what ER was referring to and one of the reasons for his experiment of no politics for a month.
Regards
