When I was in the navy my ship was in the middle of the pacific and we observed on the horizon a very large fireball type phenomenon staying in a stationary position.
I have no idea to this day what it was. Thus, it was "unidentified"; and because it was in the sky it was a "flying object." A UFO. So because I can't identify it should I assume it is an alien race from another star system? What an idiotic assumption that would be! If I were to assume anything it was a military test of some kind.
