So in theory...
Anyone showing up on our shores now ought to have already been in some refugee facility overseas for 18 to 24 months while the checking process took place. Is this the case? With the war starting in 2011, it's possible. Any statistics out there?
Like Robert says, at least we don't have them rolling onshore in boatloads like Europe.
Still wouldn't hurt to tighten the process a bit, or call a halt to the imports until it is. One assumes the potential U.S.-bound refugees are already reasonably safe somewhere or they wouldn't be going through the formal checking process.
