The pores (stomata) on a plant's leaves release water vapor as the plant intakes CO2. Water vapor is a far more potent greenhouse gas than CO2. With increased levels of CO2 in the atmosphere, plants do not have to open their stomata has often. This causes the plant to retain water by not releasing as much vapor into the atmosphere. Increased CO2 intake while reducing water vapor expulsion would have a major impact of atmospheric composition.
BTW: You can't separate global warming from politics because it's all about politics. If you want to talk about bad science, then ask the presidential candidates on your side why they are opposed to nuclear power. Not a single one of them supports it.

Increased CO2 actually can help.
