I'm hearing that Obama is now ahead in Iowa...So now the press is in a complete tissy fit!
But remember folks, the same was said of Howard Dean at this point in the last go around and look what it got Dean: He was forced to pretend that he had a victory when the Kerry campaign had handed him a "stunning defeat".
The fact is that the best campaigns (ie Hillary) can brow-beat their way to victory in a caucus like Iowa.
That's why John Kerry ended up winning Iowa, and if I remember correctly, Dean ended up finishing 3rd despite the pre-caucus polls.
If the Clintons have a rap sheet on Obama, I can guarantee you that they will use it on the night of the caucus... The data will be out there in the hands of the die-hard operatives who will use it to influence the caucus goers who might be leaning toward Obama, but who doen't even realize that they are looking for that one or two reasons why they shouldn't vote for him.
Hey politics are a dirty business. That's why Hillary is a shoe-in.
