I suspect Christmas will bring a "To Bowser - From Bowser, With Love" present of a laptop. I'm shopping for the guy now. He deserves it, and besides wants to watch DVDs in the back of a van.

I'm trying to find one that doesn't come loaded with Vista and is not a Dell. Would like an AMD dual-core with good graphicsNot easy. I may just break down, buy one with it, erase it and load Ubuntu.

And don't know that I want to fight those battles anymore. Life seems to offer more than screwing with computers.

et doesn't seem to be around to badger (read "motivate") me.
