"Ruggedized" laptops
The idea of a 'ruggedized' laptop is what's kept me from buyine any laptop so far. I don't want to spend the money on one, and yet don't want to not have something which could take a bit of abuse.
I've just about convinced myself that I could by a regular laptop for about 1/3 the cost of a ruggedized affair and simply replace the thing up to twice for the same money. But then there's the hassle.
I also dither about a 17" screen v. 15.4". The larger laptop seems ungainly, but must have a bigger keyboard, too, and I use an ergonomic style. I don't think I could force myself to sit for very long at a small keyboard.
Sigh. Wonderful problems to have, really.
