As always you're blind to what I'm saying. Tom and others have every right to an opinion and to stating it. It's not that which angers people with "thin skin". It the inference that people willfully hope Iraq goes bad and the body counts remain high for the soul purpose of scoring political points.

Believe me, he didn't diss me personally for a number of reasons.

First, I don't consider myself a Democrat. There is no political party in our nation that adequately represents my viewpoints. I'm hanging with them for the time being because the Republican Party has entered a reprehensible stage of their evolution and they deserve to be handed a huge dose of humility. Unfortunately, the only weapon any citizen has against them is alignment with the Democrats. The Libertarians, the only other party with even the tiniest bit of clout, are filled with loony people I simply cannot align with. The Dems have got a lot of warts and crazies themselves but as a party they don't deserve the crap you guys say about them. Overall they're a pretty compassionate and intelligent bunch.

Secondly, I have lost nearly all respect for any post he writes that deals with politics because he refuses to look at both sides of an issue and he lies and distorts the truth. Without respect, there is no real slight to me.

My problem is that I love to take on bullies. Call it an obsession. I don't care. It gives me great satisfaction shining the spotlight on them, showing their fear and their weakness, and the way they prey on others that don't have that aggressive gene that allows them to fight back. Tom doesn't need to be a bully to be persuasive on here but he always falls back in that pattern and you're always there to back him up. I'm sure glad you're on his side. It's a good fit.
