Most of what you wrote is what Democrats and liberals have been telling themselves over and over again. The rest of America is well-aware that Bush isn't running again, and desperate attempts to tie the Republican candidates to Bush aren't working. Heck, pretty much everybody in the Bush administration that were constant targets of liberal hatred for the past seven years is gone. Have you even noticed that?
You're not whistling past the graveyard, you're playing the bagpipes.
That being said, I will agree that Obama, as a relatively unknown factor, could end up pushing the "JFK" button in America. I could see him winning. Not Hillary. Everybody knows exactly who she is, what she's done, what her views are, and that her main goal in life is getting to be President.
One thing that will be interesting is watching her collapse if she loses the nomination, never mind many of her supporters. It's amazing how many people, including her, have been convinced for the past two years that the presidency, never mind the nomination, was pretty much in the bag for her.
In a month or so we'll have a lot more information to work with.
