Well yeah, Tech, that's my point: It took a candidate as pitiful as John Kerry to lose to George W. Bush in 2004. Even staunch Republicans like Tom have agreed with that.
The Democratic Party in 2004 tucked its tail between its legs and went with the B-list. I'm not going to resort to the mirror principle and say that in 2008 the RNC's running its B-list, but they don't have the snowball's chance with the forces so aligned against them.
What else?... Republicans are smarter and smell better than Democrats...yeah, just the usual hot air. Don't worry about ole' Fred riding out the storm, he can fall asleep anywhere and I expect he'll just sleep through it.
