I understand frustration.
I did go back and scan a bit more. If it does come about, there will be a scramble to either regulate it or make it fit under the FCRA (Fair Credit Reporting Act). It might be used to deny people elective surgeries or procedures. Or they'd have to prepay them.
I rather liked the system when I was in my 20's. I had major medical insurance. I took care of doctor visits and prescriptions and such and it took care of anything over $500. If that system were still the way of most medical insurance, the costs of doctor visits and prescriptions would not be so outlandish.
Insurance has ruined the health care industry in this country IMO. I didn't go to a doctor unless I had to. Now people go at the drop of a hat and my doctor wants me back every 4 months if I need him or not. That's wasteful.
I can understand him wanting to monitor me now but that was always the case, even when I was totally healthy and never had anything wrong with me other than an occasional cold. Once a year should have been enough. But they wanted every 4 months because it looked better on their balance sheet and they could bill insurance. Had I been paying for it myself, I can guarantee what I'd have told them.
