I've mentioned it here before, but I was in middle school when prayer (and Bible stories) in class were not only permitted, they were mandatory. You're damn straight it's coercion, I knew it then and I know it now. It's not about free exercise of religion, it's about indoctrination and conformism. These are not just abstract concepts, They're very real and very scary for a ten year old. Even back then I knew a con when I saw one, and I resisted.

Besides, they don't always work. It made a pagan out of me.
