Lets see.... embryonic stem cell research, the right to marry who you want, constant attempts and some successes to teach I.D. in schools, the right to buy alcohol on sunday in some states, morning after birth control availability, right to abortion due to death threats against doctors....

This stuff is trivial.

Non-embryonic stem cell research is being heavily funded by everyone, including the Federal government. Embryonic stem cell research is funded by the Federal government for certain limited cell lines, and is getting funded at the State level and universities. California alone has a $3 billion program.

"Attempts" at things like teaching ID are just that. Unlike collectivist/socialist ideas in our education system, right-wing ideas are flattened at the start.

There are only 19 states where alcohol sales on a Sunday are limited, and I don't think people are exactly on the ramparts about it. Expect this trend to increase, as states are realizing they're losing tens of millions in tax revenues.

Abortion is legal everywhere. There were a total of 11 reported death threats in all of 2007, and about 1.2 million abortions.

Now, if you want to rest the Coming Theocracy on the lack of gay marriage, go for it. But I would bet that ten years from now, gay marriage will be legal, and I'll be staring socialized health care in the face.
