We treat animals better than fellow humans

Who would let an animal suffer? We put them down. It broke my heart to have to put my beloved Sam down but he had kitty F.I.V. (AIDS); the poor little guy could no longer even clean himself. If I ever find the SOB or Bitch who put a declawed cat outside to fend for itself, I'd like to flush them down a very large toilet. Sam was already sick when I took him in, although I didn't know he was sick. I would have taken him in anyway.

I watched my father waste away from cancer of the liver and pancreas. He was in excruciating pain and begged for a gun.

My sister's doctor offered her basically an O.D. on morphine when she was in the hospital dying from COPD and there was nothing more to do for her but watch her suffer and gasp for breath. She asked if it would hurt and he told her no, she would just drift off. There is a lot of that going on; it's just not talked about. Thank God for doctors like that who know when to let a patient go.
