Apples and oranges. Telling Raoul he is safe because of the US is bit under the bar in this conversation. Fighting Hitler's fascist Germany WAS worthwhile, but not in context of American foreign policy NOW. We've been in Iraq for 5 years now, and they weren't even an enemy, nor were they any threat to us. You seem to be in denial about this, the biggest blunder in American history that has completley destabilized the Middle East and increased the number of our enemies.
AND...... you have bought into the platitude of the day, coming from Cheney and Rumsfeld's minions. My angst and criticism stands for TODAY's policy and where we are going, not last last century's or any other war before this. Our defense industries are using taxpayers' monies to build more technologically advanced weaponry which we SELL to other developiong countries (and often TO opposing countries) to foment and escalate wars, therefore ensuring capital returns to the share holders of the defense industries....which is all what it;s about for you, no?
