Well said. These crucial source documents are recognized as such only in hindsight, of course, after their implementation has been tried and failed so disastrously. PNAC was only one of dozens of thinktanks advocating their peculiar worldview, and if Bush had not become President, the core of the neocon cabal would not have been elevated to positions of power. Much of "Rebuilding America's Defenses" outlined what's been called Rummy's "transformational" military, while Cheney and Armitage and Bolton and Scooter were in charge of trying to implement the geopolitical vision.
If only I had a time machine to act on this 20/20 hindsight.
