No one can save our bacon. That's the entire point. The Conservative agenda, cut taxes, start wars, borrow money and break the country, preventing future spending on social programs, ensuring poverty and ill-health with plenty of well-educated workers willing to earn the minimum wage has been implemented brilliantly.
No one can prevent that collapse.
And the tax cuts for the wealthy have only enabled them to engage in unregulated investment vehicles, none of which benefit any economy, which will collapse it.
Since when did any kid without health insurance benefit the economy? Or is the money not spent on his health care somehow contributing to the general welfare, the defense budget or the "defense of freedom", as you claim?
But the Bush legacy is that it's beyond repair.
