I do feel superior to people who single out an entire group of people for the criminal actions of a few. I'm sorry, but that's the way it is. What is that post suppose to prove? That these people are savages and they deserve to be persecuted? That you finally have the evidence you need to justify whatever punishment you have planned for them, or that you would like to have inflicted on them? Or is it supposed to prove that this German incident is all the reason we need to turn away refugees from our shores, even though they may consist of families with women and children and old folks? What if they aren't Arabs? What if they are sports fans who go on a rampage and riot when their team loses, or wins? What about Mexicans, South Americans, Cubans? Trump is right, you know. Some are drug dealers and some are rapists, even some of the Cubans.
Yeah, there are a lot of fucked up people in this world, and sometimes its because they belong to groups who are oppressed, poor, ignorant, or subscribe to stupid religions or political philosophies, that don't fit in, or can't make it in our society, or maybe even because some of them are just no damn good. I get that. But we can't use that as an excuse to hurt people who have done us no harm because we've worked ourselves up into a frenzy of fear and hatred. Otherwise we become exactly like what we are accusing them of being.
Who knows? Maybe its too late. Maybe we already have.
