The day there is a market for water in Space, will mark the end of the Fossil fuel Age.
By which I don't mean no one will use fossil fuel, but it's future significant will be seen to be lessened by the vast potential source of energy from the Space environment.
Fossil fuel Age began to become significant with the age of Steam beginning around 17th Century and we still used horses at beginning of 19th Century.
Earthlings getting any significant energy from energy generated from Space it will probably not occur within 40-50 years, but a market for water in space could occur 10-20 years in the future. The need for water and to transform it into rocket fuel will bring about a significant energy market in space which will eventually [as costs drop] sell power to the earth surface. Once you can sell electrical power to earth surface and make a profit, you have explosive growth which will result [over decade or two] in most of all power used on Earth will be generated in the Space environment.
Which also means that industry that use significant amounts of energy will operate in the Space environment [closer to the energy sources and vast amount of other resources available from the Space environment].
