My dog chasing a squirrel is a good comparison. There is nothing, neither traffic nor commands, which can stop him once he gets up to speed. (And you can't train it out of him easily. I have mostly, but have had to use a radio collar and put it on him to be completely safe. Which would work with politicians and prostitutes, also, I'm sure.)
