I expect the most optimum path available to us right now is to stay there indefinitely, attempting to keep the region from blowing up into general war and trying to keep the flame down on the ongoing civil war.
As someone who was opposed to this from the beginning, its not my job to set out why we should be there in the first place, and what constitutes success. Surely you are capable of getting this obvious distinction?
On the other hand, you (and TB etc) have re-defined why we went in, why we are there, and what constitutes victory so many times I suspect that you all are horribly confused. This is evidenced by your last re-definition: that a GITMO style base is the whole point of this infinite conflict.
