Well...even as I type this the Olympic flame is about
to make its attempt to work its way through the streets
of San Francisco.
There are 1,000s of demonstrators it has to pass.
China is humiliated, the IOC President looks lie a buffoon
on the issue. President Bush is sitting on his hands on this issue.
The horrors and barbarism the Red Chinese military
carried out against Tibetans since 1950 is well known
to those who refuse to ignore it: crucifixions of hundreds
of dissidents, rapes, dismemberment of innocent monks, and simple
slaughter by gunfire are some examples.
I'm amazed at the SILENCE from some of you on this issue.
There are plenty of websites to confirm this info.
The IOC should never have given the Olympics to a tyranny.
They had past shameful examples to remind them: Berlin, 1936; and Moscow, 1980.
