Tom somehow dredged up the statistic that there have been "only" seven murders committed against doctors who perform abortions. While that doesn't undercut my statement that a "pro-life stance" can lead to violence, it does undercut your apology for the murderers. It says that the vast majority of people with a "pro-life stance" retain enough sanity and moral sense to recognize that their view is controversial and not shared by the majority of society, and to their credit, they've managed to refrain from vigilante action. Instead, they've focused their efforts on writing their religious opinion into law so that it will have societal sanction.
I suspect that your views would horrify even a fanatic "pro-lifer", at least those who haven't crossed the lone-wolf threshold.
