Calm down.

You're still obsessing over one sentence in a four paragraph post, and blowing it out of proportion by inflating and distorting my beliefs out of all proportion. I'm none of those things you accuse me of.

My view of Christianity, and religion in general, is that 1) I believe in freedom of religion as a subset of freedom of thought and speech; 2) religion is a private matter, unless religionists insist on submitting their beliefs for my judgment by injecting them into politics. I have no choice, then, but to render judgment on the religious beliefs that motivate political propositions. Religion isn't off-limits when it intrudes into politics.

You're way out of line to rant "You hate the Republicans because they are the party of the 'Christian Coalition'. The "self-righteous" Christians be damned for trying to put their "religious" beliefs into law." I don't hate Republicans, but I oppose them, and their alliance with Christian extremists is one factor; again, because they're making it my business, not because I have any intrinisic interest in Christianity. I oppose Christian extremists who try to write their religious beliefs into law, and I make no apologies for that. That's not only my right as a citizen, I see it as my duty.

I'm not an atheist, but I'm not a religionist either. Since you asked, I'll tell you that I find conventional religion, including Christianity, hopelessly lame at explaining life, the universe, and everything. Whatever the truth is, it's not to be found in Christianity, or Judaism, or Islam.
