""pro-life stance" retain enough sanity and moral sense to recognize that their view is controversial and not shared by the majority of societyTwo polls were released in May 2007 asking Americans "With respect to the abortion issue, would you consider yourself to be pro-choice or pro-life?" A CNN poll found 45% said pro-choice and 50% said pro-life.[9] Within the following week, a Gallup poll found 49% responding pro-choice and 45% pro-life.[10]

Pretty close to even, wouldn't you say?
With all due respect Robert, you are so blind to your own bigotry you couldn't see it even if someone held a mirror to your face.
You hate the Republicans because they are the party of the 'Christian Coalition'. The "self-righteous" Christians be damned for trying to put their "religious" beliefs into law. I could see where that would piss anyone off but we do have the process of the rule of law, which must be followed before any one group can impose it's belief on the whole and thank God it takes a 2/3 majority.
That said, why can't you be happy in your *Atheist "beliefs" and show a little tolerance towards your Christian brethren?
This thread started with a shitty little smear ad, one of many we'll see from both sides. Like a little sub routine, you instantly started playing some of the liberal face cards so often seen here on the Zone:
Republican = Fascist
Republican = Racist
Republican = Bigot
Republican = Christian
After seening the same cards over and over, only a fool would believe the deck is not stacked.
*if I remember correctly.
