This isn't about torture any more. These practices stopped a long time ago. All the issues now are legalities about habeas corpus and the right to free lawyers and whatever other privileges can be extended to our enemies. When that line is exhausted, it will be something else. I'd like to think this was about real concern for prisoners out there on the Left, but it sure smells a lot like a political weapon to me.
I've been reading your posts. You yourself seem to be a bit more focused on the politics than the real issues.
"...Unless the perpetrators of the torture and mistreatment are serving an administration supported by TB- then anything goes."
This is basically an insult to my intelligence, and far from your first. I suspect I've given this issue more serious thought than you have, and on a level other than "Bush sucks" or "Bush is great." I only hope the people who are defending us have done so, so they aren't caught off guard again.
This entire thing started out with a simple question: Where would you have put the prisoners? The response was telling, including your assumption that these people are being held without cause.
Have you ever looked at the military sources on this issue, or like Bowser, do you simply assume everything you don't believe is a lie?
