A New York Times article on the interrogation of KSM
Here.
The article is, not surprisingly, firmly in your court, but it's interesting to see what the alternative would have been:
Mr. Mohammed met his captors at first with cocky defiance, telling one veteran C.I.A. officer, a former Pakistan station chief, that he would talk only when he got to New York and was assigned a lawyer — the experience of his nephew and partner in terrorism, Ramzi Yousef, after Mr. Yousef’s arrest in 1995.
Yousef was one of the people who carried out the original WTC bombing, among other acts of terror. His arrest and conviction, along with others in the plot, was done according to all the proper rules and traditions of high civilization. This example to the world was instrumental in removing the threat of terrorism from America and resulted in the high regard held for us in the radical Islamic world afterwards.
Yousef is apparently being tortured, since I understand he is held in solitary confinement.
