re: McCain's not my devil, he's your devil

"Does that make Sarah the devil in a blue dress? No, wait, that was Monica."

Monica was only trying to lend a helping hand

"But better the devil we know than the devil we don't. Sarah was supposed to be the rebuttal to Obama, somebody with even less experience, to prove some kind of point that surely makes sense on WingerWorld. "

The world doesn't revolve around Obama,... yet.
Sarah was chosen as a VP by McCain. The choice wasn't as safe or as boring as Biden.

"But at least we know Obama--he presented himself to the American people a couple of years ago, to let us check him out and make up our own minds. Palin? Who? Get the essential difference: Nobody voted for Sarah Palin during the primaries, she was appointed by Bush 44...er, I mean, McCain."

Can't you keep your message straight?
You mean the "Bush team" don't you? Isn't your constant harping that Bush does even know what's going on- that he is a mere puppet and is not the puppetmaster controlling the Vast Rightwing Conspiracy.

"In the Devil Matrix, we have Washington careerist John W. McCain (famously described by Paris Hilton as "that wrinkly old white-haired guy" [how lame do you have to be to get your ass kicked by Paris Hilton?]) promising us four more years, a devil we know all too well; while on the next row he placed Sarah "Who?" Palin as a purely symbolic token of change. Over in the Democratic column, we have the smart and charismatic Barack Obama, the embodiment of change through-and-through, backstopped by Joltin' Joe Biden, another devil we know through having vetted him in the primaries."

Without a teleprompter Obama doesn't sound very smart.
Maybe Obama is the left's version of Bush.

Now the person we really know well is ms Clinton and her sidekick. Now, I can understand why Obama's people didn't want Clinton. And everyone knows that Biden was picked because Obama lacked experience.

And everyone knows that McCain doesn't lack experience nor has experience for a VP ever been a significant issue- though one could argue that Palin has as much experience in important matter regarding women issues than any one on either ticket and has a fair amount of executive experience- though no experience as a Senator, nor experience as a lawyer.

I suppose the lefties in general assume McCain will drop dead when he enters the office of President. Perhaps due to the sheer excitement of finally getting there. Though there is a fair chance McCain will actually live through a 4 year term and could live thru an 8 year term and still be around to annoy long after that.

"Basically, I like my devils better than your devils. "

I think McCain is a far more capable devil than Obama, and that's why I'm still somewhat in favor of a Obama president. A random pick in any phonebook would be better than Obama though much better than McCain.

Another factor will be who will provide the most material in terms of comedy. I think Obama wins in that score, though this Palin girl could have a fair amount of potential- beyond the present bubble.

Now, Obama out leftied the lefty Clinton, so it isn't much of a wonder why you like the guy.

Now, suppose Obama is elected. what would you think he should do with Biden? I'm thinking "taskforce" of some kind, but I don't know what the taskforce should be called or what it pretends it's going to do. Any ideas?
I thinking something involving a distance location. Send him to Africa?

The election is still a long ways from now. It's going to be a lot of fun.
