Look up socialism. The proposals of Henry Paulson and GWB are a hell of a lot more socialistic than a national health care system or rolling back tax cuts on the wealthy.

You want to talk about critical thinking? Look at where the USA is today, vs where it was 8 years ago. In every damn aspect we are worse off. Thats what the American voter is looking at when they enter the polls.

Your argument would have us conclude that Taxation itself is socialism, and that only unbridled capitalism and unregulated markets are morally decent things. Please explain to me, via your superior critical thinking skills how the hell we are to have a civilization without taxation? There is no tax policy that is fair according to everyone, because nobody wants to pay taxes. And if unregulated markets are such a superb thing, then how is it that every financial crisis this country has ever endured that was not the result of an agrarian boom/bust cycle arose from irrational speculation in unregulated markets- including the current one

Oh, I know, your moral certitude about how right you are is so very powerful. But I prefer reason in my political thinking. And a first principle of induction is- if something fails, stop doing it.

You've failed, miserably. Time to step aside and let the adults try to fix things.
