First of all, Lee isn't talking about a color blind society. We know what he's talking about. Perhaps you are the one who missed his "sophisticated train of thought"?
You guys can can jump up and down and wave your arms and make a lot of noise about how "unfair" racial standards are for whites, all the while playing dumb and ignoring the horrific historical consequences that "white pride" has had on other races in America. Yes a color blind society is the goal, but we all know that's not what Lee wants.
Most Americans are glowing with pride, but some huddle around in their ever shrinking circles of hate.
