What exactly was the truth about Sarah Palin because as far as my very extensive research has uncovered, the extremely unflattering things said about her intellect, her deviousness, her use of unqualified friends and family members for government posts, her distortions of events in talking points, and her very bizarre religious affiliations were all backed up with a huge amount of evidence.
Tom, you forget we live in a YouTube world now. If your side can take snippets from a Reverend Wright's sermons where there's no proof Obama was even in the audience and try to paint him as a radical despite nothing in his personal history to show he subscribed to any of those words, bloggers should be completely free to use as evidence videos showing Sarah Palin on stage with preachers talking about casting out witches, or her addressing the Alaska Independence Party convention. We can all view the bizarre rambling answers to her interviews which clearly showed a lack of knowledge about our Constitution and the world around her. We can look at damaging sworn testimony from witnesses in the Troopergate hearings from people that by all rights ought to have been her political ally. Not a single piece of hard evidence deviated from the picture her critics were giving. Not a one and there were a lot of us looking for it.
I watched as the evidence came in by the truckload that McCain had failed miserably in his vetting process. I also watched the liberal blogosphere reject outright the overreaching things such as suggesting Trig was really her daughter's child. People that posted stuff like that were laughed at and not taken seriously. That crap wasn't necessary. The true and verifiable stuff was piling up unbelievably fast.
I'm sorry Tom but the days when you can imply untruth just because you feel the source to be liberal doesn't work anymore. In this campaign, the liberal and progressive side and particularly the major blog sites didn't have to lie or distort. All of that was coming from your bunch.
