I have learned within the past two years...

I mean give him a real chance. He is not even in the White House.

I know. A lot of what Obama proposes looks very wrong and harmful to me. But I question my judgment. I thought Bush would be good for America, and he wasn’t. So my judgment is to be question. If it was wrong about Bush, it could be wrong about Obama.

I always had a hard time doing things with my dad. He way was always the right way, even if my way produced the same results. It was different from his way, so it wasn’t right.

I don’t want to be like that. Just because it’s not my way, doesn’t mean it will not work. There are many ways to reach a common goal. I am going to bite my tongue and give Obama a real chance. Maybe he knows something we don’t.

Beside, you don’t have much of a choice. We lost. He is going to be your president whether you like it or not. You can bitch about it over the next four years or you can try to find some common ground.

I am not playing this game any more. I dropped out of it two years ago and have been walking further away from it every since. If you go that road, you will go it without me.

If Obama truly compromises with us, then I will meet him halfway. If he alienates us, I’ll don’t know where I’ll go, but I won’t fall back in the vicious cycle again. I won’t fall in the hole of hate.

If we hate Obama with all our being, then when we are in power again that hate will come back to haunt us. They’ll hate us. It’s a vicious cycle and I am out of it.

I see that Obama has a chance to stop this cycle. I am going out on a limb and support him on this. I don’t care if it causes my party to loose in 2012. If we can end this cycle, I am there. And if he can’t, the next time the Republicans are in power, we better try. Eventually someone will do if both sides keep trying. Right now Obama has a good chance to do it, if he is a man of his word.

I am a bit old fashion. I believe a man is as good as his word. We’ll see if Obama keeps his word.

For too many years we have hated their side and their side has hated ours. Some hate so much they can’t see past it. Not me. I am done.

For too many years we cheer our team on- wanting our side to win no matter what. Sticking by our team and letting them drag us through the mud. Not me. I have taken my jersey off. I am in the shower if anyone needs me. I think I’ll take up painting.
