As satisfying as it would be treat Conservatives they way they have treated the US and the rest of the world, it would be counterproductive. A wonderful ego trip, but no way to run a country.
I bitch, rail, piss and moan about the ignorant, selfish bastards but in the end I would be no better than they if I, like them, justified my conduct by claiming the other guy made me do it.
I believe the US is in such bad shape our houses and cities have become foxholes and bunkers. We need to be grateful for any and all bodies in there with us working to create a safe environment for all of us.
And along the way hear the concerns and try to calm the fears of those working against that idea.
I feel properly chastened by this thread. It's occurred to me that the same behavior which is extreme when one is outside the tent is even more inappropriate when one is inside. It's important, as the man said, to not become the monster one is trying to destroy.
