And a message for the Dems and Libs; let's try to meet these guys halfway, conservatives are not all neocon fanatics, and neither should all conservative policies be rejected outight. The left has no monopoly on virtue or good sense, and we do need these guys to provide a counterweight to our tendency to be overly exuberant and a bit flaky.
I'm not just singin' Kumbaya here, I'm being completely and ruthlessly pragmatic. Crushing and humiliating your opponents will inevitably come back to haunt you in the end. We learned it as a nation after World War I, and the hard Right is learning it right now, in spades. Let us not make the same mistake again.
