Luxor Hotel, Las Vegas
The Luxor Hotel in Las Vegas has an extremely bright beam of light coming out of the top. There are a couple of pictures of it about half-way down the linked citation.
That beam ALWAYS seems to be directly overhead. I walked completely around the thing one night and the light followed me. I posted it as a puzzlement, thinking that it must somehow be a laser.
TB and I did some research, with TB finding that it is simply a very bright light which is directed straight "up". However, the perception of it being directly overhead and following an observer is powerful.
