re: Your responses are interesting from many aspects.
First I will address the comment:
you can either accept that, or you can make a fool of yourself denying it....
You seem to be using “dark logic†by accusing me of saying something that I have not.
Nowhere am I denying that CCD cameras can create artefacts, the pictures that Nick posted certainly are good examples of such.
I have only questioned the validity of using that explanation in this one particular instance.
Since you profess to be an expert in such artefacts, then perhaps you can explain the phenomenon to my satisfaction.
The artefacts and blooming distortions that I have encountered in photographs or CRT screens always extend away from the bright spot, always at least in two directions, and always in opposite directions from each other.
Such phenomenon is not evident in the video that Lindy linked to, or the picture posted by Laurie.
If the camera elements are causing such single direction artefacts, then it would be interesting to know why they occur, there maybe some interesting physics going on there. If such a problem can be solved, then at least we would get better pictures in the future.
Another instance where you are using the “dark logic†(I like that term, thanks again Bowser) is where you use the words “gullible twits like you,â€
Such terminology is inflammatory and is reserved only for the Flame board.
Is it the “dark logic†that prevents you from understanding such a fact?
NOTE TO MODERATOR
The attempted character deformations are becoming tiresome, please see that they only occur on the flame board.
