The monster called HATE.

As for "why this was allowed to happen", the answer is brutally simple. The supporters of this administration (some who argue so eloquently to continue this thuggery on this forum) are so concerned about their own domestic agenda of lower taxes, union bashing, safety-net dismantling, privatized health care, and corporate welfare that they will do anything to cover up and make excuses for the war criminals involved in this disgrace. They have a personal financial stake in perpetuating this injustice and obscuring the truth behind it. They share in the profit and thereby share in the guilt. It's why I no longer post here. These fascists offend me. I refuse to dignify their poison with debate.

What they think, but don't dare admit out loud, is that those prisoners are just little brown foreigners anyway. Better that every one of the innocent suffer than even just one guilty one escape.

Watching you, Lindy and Bowser go at it is amusing. My photographic memory lets me painfully recall Lindy's dozens of posts about the military being ordered not to respond to the hijacked planes and about how inappropriate it was for Bush to continue reading to children for a short while after someone whispered the news of the crash into his ear. The Bush administration did not do enough! Condi Rice had received a report warning of possible terrorist attacks via hijackings but did nothing! In fact, the Bush administration clearly was behind 9/11! They sponsored the attack to justify invading Iraq!

The hate, which in you three burns like a nuclear fire that cannot be quenched or doused, goes on and on - post after post. Year after year...after year. Bush is a criminal. Rove is a criminal. Rumsfeld is a criminal. Cheney is a criminal. Everyone should be tried and punished - they should be made to suffer! Oh the Glee in Lindy's posts as she imagined Rove meeting up with gay inmates in prison. Such wonderful memories!

You three are the definition of rabid fascism - based on hysteria, hate and deep seated persecution and inferiority complexes. That burning desire to see others punished exists in you three.

We are all our own worst enemies and you three make that quite obvious.

If Bush's Abu Ghraib was bad, FDR's WWII was a hundred times worse. We were executing folks for anything and everything. Firing squads were killing anyone who was in hiding and didn't surrender. "Spies" were executed with no trials only heresay and as to the atrocities performed on enemy combatants - we don't even want to go there. The front line of the US were slaughtering men, women an children for their gold fillings - just like the worst of the Nazis did to the Jews.

But FDR is a hero and Bush is a war criminal. A few hundred supected terrorist detainees and enemy combatants being held without trial for 7 years is FAR worse than tens of thousands being killed, raped and murdered in the name of "democracy."

That the three of you look around and see vicious hate in everyone but yourselves constantly is obvious. Just Like Arrell hating his mirror reflection Lee for spewing what he believes is "justified" hatred towards other humans - because they are dangerous to society.

Bowser expresses it in almost every post with a half-hearted smile, Lindy expresses it with outrage in a grand conspiracy theory and you present a cogent face that covers a very bitter bile that any liver would envy.

Now that Obama has won, the desire for retribution has not eased up. If anything folks like TB, the big ol' unrepentant fascist, are portrayed as worthless inhuman monsters - just because they see the world differently. Diversity is fine, so long as it applies merely to skin color and not political or world views. The tides have turned...it's time for revenge!

It's always educational to watch what happens when the incessant complainers about injustice get power.

Lenin was a great example.

Hitler another.

You three are no different. Your enemies list is far vaster and comprehensive than Nixon's and your rage is would be fuel for a million and one concentration camps filled with "Bush administration war criminals" and their "fascist supporters" who need to be put away.

Guantanamo? It would pale to the camps you three would erect in your own quest for redemption and personal interpretation of justice if given the power to bring life to your fantasies.

Just food for thought. I don't say this because I hate you. I don't. I say this because I understand you. And when I simulate the thought processes in my mind that lead me to where you three reside -

- I see you three reside in a very unhappy place.

Turn the other cheek.

Instead of hating those who hate - love them. See in them the potential for growth that each human possesses. Embrace them and be a positive influence on them. That's the way you change the world. Hating fascists or war criminals does nothing but create more hate. Hating rapists, murderers and such - totally counter-productive. One needs to understand them - see their mistakes - and NOT commit the exact same one - namely allowing hate to poison your mind and to guide your actions.

Lee's post was a great example of what happens when one allows hate a foothold in. Atrocious crimes can spur primal responses - but these are suppressed in the west. The eye for an eye bit is what the west has moved away from. This is because the west understands that perpetuating hate is what keeps the cycle of violence going. That stopping hate is only achieved when one can see the worst criminal - the most inhuman monster - and deal intelligently with that monster without emotion - especially hate. Prisons, permanent incarceration and executions are intended to remove and isolate the hate and danger from the rest of society. Permanent incarceration, IMHO, is preferable to the death penalty - because it shows you have risen above the need to deal with animals on their own level.

Hate is the even bigger monster that creates such monsters such monsters in the fisrst place.

Don't let it make monsters out of you folks.
