Who's the one who posts all the little officious "updates" and quotes, sometimes two or three a day, trying to get a rise out of the pitchfork people? Every time you stumble on some talking point from one of those trog websites you prowl around in it goes up, and we're expected to click on the uncommented "here" and be suitably cowed and silenced by its (and your) brilliance. You do it deliberately and continuously, agitating and provoking, looking for trouble. And when the lederhosen clad mob shows up at the castle gates you wonder why all the big bad liberals are picking on you.
TB, you seem to think that it is your purpose in life to expose and eliminate every single liberal apostasy on this board, and when you don't find one, you start a fight. Is it any wonder people are fed up with your confrontational style and intellectual arrogance? Do you really think the opposition you get here is because people don't like what you're saying? Have you ever considered that maybe it's because you can't seem to say anything else? Why is it so important that you be right? All the time. Every time. And why here? Are you going to change the course of history? Are you going to change even one person's mind? Or do you just get a kick out of humiliating people? When you get broadsided you don't seem to mind it at all, you just change the subject, reframe the issue, or evade the point altogether and counterattack with some irrelevancy. (Don't tell me...you know for a fact you don't do that.)
Everyone here gets into fights. Lindy has her conspiracies, SDAI his vortices, Bowzer his rants, and I have my sea stories. And occasionally we all cross swords with each other, whether it be religion, race, anomalism, UFOs or some other hot topic that flares up. But with you it's every day, all the time, and it's always the same shoot 'em up, the same rodeo. Maybe you can't see it because you're in the middle of it, but it is intimidating and poisonous to conversation, and I'll tell you why. Every time I show up here I know I'll be faced with the same choice: either deliberately recluse myself from any political discussion (and you know I avoid most of them), or find myself in a mudsling about global warming, national health, or one of the other usual suspects. I'm screwed either way, either I meekly let you get away with your outrages, or I find myself in the middle of a fight that never seems to end. An occasional fight is fun, but every day?
Yeah, having animated discussions is exactly what these boards are for, but not the same discussion, over and over. Don't you ever get fed up with it? I know I am.
