re: NASA Admin Griffin Obstructing Obama Transition Team

A comment in comment section:

"Holy hanna.

If this is true, the best thing the Transition Team could do at this point is to get Obama to simply announce, as quickly as he can, that he will be accepting Griffin's resignation and appointing a replacement as soon as possible. Hell, just announce an interim Administrator who will be taking over on Jan 20th for three months while a selection is made for a permanent replacement.

If they guarantee his removal that then free's everyone else to talk honestly, without fear of retribution after the transition. Then the Transition Team can operate and get some real honest answers, not just the scraps off of Griffin's table.

They can always appoint a replacement pro-Ares believer in his place if their reviews show it is the way they still want to go.

But I don't see why they could *ever* want an Administrator who starts his game off by threatening (or actually trying) to block their access to important information, irrelevant of which architecture is best.

If this report is true, Griffin is behaving like a TPLD -- a Tin-Pot Little Dictator and needs to be firmly handed his coat and shown the door.

What agency is he trying to run here? The US Civilian Space Agency or America's answer to the KGB?"

If true, I agree.
