re: NASA Admin Griffin Obstructing Obama Transition Team

Let me put it a different way.
We are beyond the idea that NASA is capable of making giving us cheap access to space. Aren't we?
So, I don't think claims of lower cost per lb have much weight. If you want to lower cost, reduce the NASA job program.
Anything else is fooling yourself.
So, let the private sector lower cost to space.
Meanwhile, let's not blow up things, and let's not kill crew.

That Direct is suppose to use exist launch tower of shuttle is
a good thing, I suppose. But are their downsides to this- will it interfere with current shuttle launches. How many years is there left in that Shuttle launch tower. How much would it cost for new launch tower. Would building a new tower save time- therefore money.
