Hamas and Israel
Sharon brought in the Hamas in order to undermine the Fatah and divide the Palestinian authority.
Just like the US helped the Taliban when the Soviets were in Afghanistan.
And now, it's backfiring (notice when this article was written and by whom-the same one who wants the US to negociate with Iran).
The Hamas has won elections and must be the power to negociate with.
Denying this right to the other side , for negociations is contrary to the very principle of diplomacy.
