Is anyone claiming the banks were better run than the auto companies? The difference is that the banks were run to enrich wealthy people, whereas the unions guaranteed at least a share of the wealth to all of those who put their time into building the cars.
It's class warfare, another assault upon the middle class, carried out with the aid of the middle class. There is a form of genius operating here.
