So which of the two stores do you shop in?

Because I can tell you that I've quit shopping at Walmart altogether. The quality of the workers is despicable and the ones they do have seem to not be very happy. The merchandise is shoddy and poorly presented. The customers in the stores I've been in have looked like the guests on the Jerry Springer show. Not only do they appear haggard and rednecky but they're rude and unaware of anyone around them. I've never been bumped into and had aisles blocked by the clueless like in a Walmart store.

Costco however is a dream. The merchandise is all top of the line and often unique. The sales staff is diverse but you can tell they're highly trained and loyal to their company. For the most part the clientele is aware and courteous.

Both companies are profitable but the differences in the way the employees are treated are drastic.

Let me state this categorically. I do not believe that it's just unions that make a corporation great. Unions are only a tool when the management is stupid and non-responsive to their workforce. Great managers understand that when their employees have happy and secure work environments and their home life is secure that they get higher production out of them.

As always Tom, it's you that doesn't get it. This isn't a discussion about unions. You just want it to be because it's just another group you can throw into the evil category. Walmart isn't evil just because they don't allow unions in. They're simply a horrendous company that's contributing to the dumbing down of our great nation.
