Phantom Planet
This is a very hokey 1962 scifi B flick that I watched recently. It made a weak attempt to be hard scifi.
The Year was 1982 and we had a permanent Moon Base and were getting ready for a Mars mission. forgetting about the dumb story line the movie talked a lot about our future in space and at the end of the movie instead of "the end" they signed off with "the beginning".
Considering the times I have witnessed, it is impossible for me to convey the bitter disappointment I feel for our space program. I will never see all the things that I expected and it even seems possible that we will never do it.
