And how long did it take for the Federal response to get to the areas affected by Katrina? How long did the government sit on its hands? How concentrated an area was effected, as opposed to the entire states of KY and TN? Has the recovery effort for Katrina been completed?
I'm sorry for the families of the 42 people who died in the ice storm. Also for the families of the 1,577 people known to have died because of Katrina.
Whose administration underfunded FEMA for years after the previous one had built it up, and whose administration put a horse show administrator in charge of FEMA, thus making it incapable of response on the scale necessary?
Who has been in office for less than a month, left with the husk that FEMA has become, plus inheriting an epic economic crisis and a neglected infrastructure?
Again, scale.
